Can you spot any familiar faces?
This project with The City of Vancouver deeply shaped Drawing Thanks in its early days. In order to achieve a mural of 142 faces of Vancouver, each week leading up to install was given a theme: Local Business Leaders, Local Artists, Local Photographers, Local Upcyclers, Local Designers, Local Athletes, Local Artists, Local Musicians, etc. It was a wonderful way to build a personal sense of community—especially when folks were asked who should be drawn next! Webs were spun, dots were connected, and a greater sense of community began to inform Drawing Thanks.
