Promotional Poster for PLAYfest
This project brought out the kid in me. In creating the concept for the poster and community mural for PLAYfest at Albion Community Centre, I thought back to the wooden dolls that were once my Nana's, passed down to my Mum, passed down to me and my siblings. I thought "what if any kid could see themselves in one of these dolls?" and I went to work creating the most diverse array of wooden dolls I could, that way, when kids came to participate in the mural making, they could select a panel that they see themselves in. It was a huge success and 150 children created artwork for Albion Community Centre. It was very special to have my Mum there alongside me at the event, connecting once again over those nostalgic dolls of our childhood.
